"Real Estate: Through the Eyes of Your San Diego County Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk"

Tuesday, July 19, 2016

Location: El Camino Country Club, Oceanside CA

Do you know your ABC’s? — Always Be Closing. Well, as a real estate owner and/or investor, in order to close on any piece of property, you’ll encounter the County Tax Assessor & County Recorder. Odds are, both actually play a larger role in your real estate business than you even realize. Anytime a piece of property is sold or transferred in San Diego, it must be formally documented with the Recorder, while also being assessed for tax purposes. Whether you’re flipping houses, building new construction, or leasing rental properties, having a thorough understanding of how the County evaluates your property will put you in the best possible position to save money — remember, a penny saved is a penny earned! In this informative presentation, San Diego County Assessor & Recorder Ernie Dronenburg will cover:

  • How real estate investments such as flips, buy-and-holds, and new construction are affected by the County Assessor/Recorder.
  • San Diego real estate market predictions for 2016 and beyond.
  • Is your property tax assessment going up next year?
  • How the tax roll is put together and how it affects you.
  • How to leverage Prop 13, Prop 60, Prop 90 and others.
  • What property tax payments mean to you and your community.

Take advantage of this valuable opportunity to gain local insight from an influential San Diego decision-maker!
