About our Meetings

NSDREI generally holds meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. We'd be delighted to see you at an upcoming event!

We are back to monthly in-person monthly meetings, with one virtual meeting per quarter.

Virtual meetings allow us to host non-local experts and industry leaders! Therefore, to accommodate our gurus who may be sharing their knowledge and expertise from other time zones, Zoom meeting times will vary.

All meetings usually include the comprehensive Market Update, Sponsor Spotlight, Haves/Wants, Speaker program with Q&A, and sometimes a surprise Deal Profile.

    Chi Nguyen, a local real estate investor, boasts a diverse portfolio of experience across various realms of real estate investment. She adeptly navigates as a nonperforming 2nd position note investor, a landlord, a developer, a private money lender, and a fund manager at 7e Investments, a $150MM Regulation A+ and regulation D fund specializing in 1st position mortgage note investments. Yet, beyond her professional pursuits, Chi’s heart resonates deeply with the nonprofit sector. Driven by a profound belief in the transformative power of philanthropy, Chi commits herself to making a positive impact on the world, as the President of Trek Relief, an international nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Chi embodies the mission of creating a more compassionate world. Chi also joined the NSDREI family in 2023 as Director of Membership.

    Bruce Norris has been sharing his expertise with us every year for the last 19 years, and this year will make 20!

    And it couldn’t be at a better time -- are higher prices, higher interest rates, and low inventory here to stay for a while? What can investors expect for the rest of this year and years to come?

    NSDREI President Derek Harms and Bruce will share the stage to deconstruct today’s most pressing economic issues and the future of real estate. Please bring your questions and Bruce can answer them during the meeting!

    This wide-ranging dialogue is going to cover:

    • Interest rates are still high…Is there any change on the horizon?
    • Inflation is sticky, job creation is still high, but the Fed is forecasting rate cuts…really?
    • Inventory is still at all-time lows; is there anything coming down the pike that could change that?
    • People are leaving California in droves for lower priced states; will that continue?
    • The Yield Curve is still inverted, but it doesn’t seem to matter…or does it?
    • The US is still hundreds of thousands of housing units short; is there any way to change that?
